Erich Bender Huxelrebe Trockenbeerenauslese 2004
A fantastic Trockenbeerenauslese dessert wine. Trockenbeerenauslese is when the winemaker dries the grapes before pressing them, resulting in a very concentrated and sweet wine. Made from the Huxelrebe grape, this is a great example of the style. A very interesting alternative to the better-known ice wines.
This wine has flavors of dried apricot and peaches, vanilla, nutmeg, and citrus. Very well balanced.
