Chateau Le Crock St Estephe 2000 Bordeaux
Owned by the Cuvelier family since the 1930's who also own Chateau Leoville Poyferre, this Bordeaux is an excellent value. The vineyard and vinification are managed by the same team as Poyferre. Vines are approximately 40+ years olf. The cepage is 56% Cabernet Sauvignon, 27& Merlot, and 17% Cabernet Franc.
This wine is rich with currant and boysenberry flavors, very well balanced with deep earth notes. An excellent candidate for aging if you can wait.
