| A Pinot Noir-based Champagne from an excellent small producer. This Champagne is as good as some of the big name brands but at a much smaller price. Color is straw with hints of gold. The nose exhibits typical robustness of Bouzy Pinot Noir but with great purity and elegance. Palate carries the red fruit and smoke characteristics of Bouzy but with hints of strawberries and apple. Great length and real class here. Superb. Organic, small production.Very expressive on the nose, it is a touch broader structured and richer than a blanc de blancs. |
