The Sangue di Giuda, or 'blood of Judas', is a semi-sweet red from the Lombardy region of Italy. You can think of it almost as a red Moscato. A blend of bonarda, barbera, and a local grape called Uva Rara. Lots of red fruit flavors, especially cherry and strawberry. It is made in a frizzante (semi-sparkling) style to keep the sweetness from being cloying. A great wine before or after dinner and at parties and get-togethers.
