Allagash Victoria Ale
Allagash has built a reputation for making Belgian-style ales as good as the real thing. In recent years they have branched out to make new styles, and the Victoria Ale is a great example. The brewers crush the grapes themselves and add it to the mash during the brewing process. Thus the Chardonnay juice ferments with the malts to create an extraordinary beverage. Some residual sugar from the grapes gives the beer a slight sweetness, with the malty flavors mingling with flavors of yellow apple and banana. A great beer for those who like something new.
