Gouden Carolus Cuvee Van de Keizer 2008 Blue Label
Gouden Carolus Cuvee Van de Keizer (formerly sold as Grand Cru of the Emperor) is a dark, rich beer true to the traditional Belgian style. It is brewed once per year on the 24th of February by ther Anker brewery and is always labeled as a vintage.
The beer pours a dark mahogany brown. Aromas and flavors of figs, dried dates, raisins, black raspberries, plus more. Malty and sweet but not overpowering, this beer reminds us of a fine Port. It ages well and can taste even better a few years down the road. Truly an exceptional beer.
